Di Filippo Nicola

Nicola Di Filippo was born in Siano (Sa) in 1942. He currently lives in Palinuro (Sa).

He is president and founder of Accademia Universale Antonio Canova. The artist has the title of Balì di Gran Croce di Giustizia dell’Ordine di San Giovanni Gerusalemme Gran Priorato Russo of Malta, where he received the Medaglia d’Oro for his artistic values in 2015.

Nicola Di Filippo is either an important academic at Unione della Legion d’Oro and at Accademia Tiberina and a prominent artist. Among the several prizes he has won during the fifty-six years of his artistic career it can be mentioned the Nobel per l’arte and the silver medallions received from Fondazione Canova Onlus in Possagno (Tv) and from the president of the Republic.

At Biennale di Verona per la creatività held in 2014 has written about him “for the artistic value demonstrated. A towering and sensitive talent”.

Nicola Di Filippo expresses himself through the communicative synthesis of his metaphorical/mepthaphysical languages manifested in a personal and innovative technique. The recurring theme of his artworks, which represents the naturalistic vision of Nicola Di Filippo, is the vigilant eye of God who controls the creation.
