Rose Douce

The famous Murano glass and high quality costume jewellery in Venice.

Close to the Rialto Bridge, one of the principal attractions of Venice, you will find Rose Douce, owned by the Mason family, who for six generations and more than forty years have dealt in Murano Glass, creating pieces of high quality costume jewellery.

For the last ten years Sebastiano Mason, the head of the company has chosen to use only Murano glass together with traditional metal jewellery.

The Murano glass is selected personally by Mr. Mason either from the current production directly from the furnace, or from older production or antique glass from antique markets and collectors, with the supplies often created by request and therefore exclusive to Rose Douce.

The costume jewellery is hand made in artisan workshops in Italy, goldsmiths produce copies of famous jewels or take inspiration for stylistic pieces.

With materials ranging from precious stones to miniatures, crystals and Bakerlite, each piece is chosen not only for its value but on the basis of the high quality of its workmanship.
