113 OI magazine pass by, it is a fascinating world even if with some contradictions. We heard that in 2017 you did a tour in Asia: what world did you find? I was there until 2019, that is, as long as it was possible. In China, hospitality to Westerners is enormous. I was welcomed as if I were David Guetta, with the cartoon with the face, the fans waiting for me outside the clubs where I performed. Hospitality is also excellent in India. Is there a Deejay who is really number 1 for you? Carl Cox, Calvin Harris, David Guetta… it’s my podium. See the Light and Maya were your passport to the international market: how did they make the difference? Maya is inspired by Nepal: inside there are the sounds of that country and what I was living in that moment. The other I produced shortly before, with sounds and ideas taken by different moments that I lived. We know you’ve been to the Ariston: did you like this last Festival hosted by Amadeus? I’m a huge fan of him, I have never missed an edition and I hope to be back on that stage one day. In the hall the atmosphere was very happy, I saw young artists competing who represent Italian music at the moment, great values both in terms of text and instrumental. Moreover, there were the Meduza guests who are colleagues, and this made me very happy. How do you live Sanremo and how Sanremo lives you ?? I always miss it. I grew up there and if I go back for a day I will recover immediately. The city is happy for me, it follows me in all my adventures around the world: one of my nicest fans is the director of the Orizzonte Italia magazine that hosts me. Yours is physically demanding work too: how do you train yourself? I have done many years of dance in Sanremo, and I have always trained with dance as well as with music and singing, my great passion. To be honest, I rest on my laurels with dance and running, but now there is kickboxing on the way. However, when you are out, the adrenaline beats any country’s time zone and so does the fatigue. When you entertain people and your name stands behind you, do you feel a sense of omnipotence? Well it’s exciting, it gives a lot of satisfaction. We try to reach as many people as possible. Energy comes from the satisfaction of being there more than a sense of omnipotence. What kind of music do you listen to when you shower or in your free time? Always different genres, a lot of melodic music, I like soul and black music, I love Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklyn. There is also a melancholy vein in me. We know that you did a Dj Set on the slopes: what emotions did you feel playing in the “white”? I played both in Livigno and in Courmayeur, where I will return on March 4th. It’s great to play outside the usual clubs and at high altitudes. From time to time I create my music lineup by inserting all my productions and remixes anyway. What are your next appointments, besides the evening shows? I’m working on new original songs that will be released for the summer. An album will be one of my next goals!
