Alta Badia is renowned for its centuries-old tradition in hospitality and for its love for cycling, this is why it hosts some of the most interesting bike events in the Dolomites. Highlights of the bike summer in Alta Badia are the Dolomites Bike Day, the cycling day on the pass roads around the Lagazuoi mountain and the Sellaronda Bike Day, the cycling day around the Sella mountain range and in July the cycling marathon. Alta Badia also offers MTB trails and tours. Here, whether you are a mtb bike novice or an experienced mountain biker, you will find the right challenge. The Sellaronda mountain bike tour, for example, is a tour with panoramic views of the peaks of the Dolomites. Thanks to the possibility to transport the bikes with the lifts, the mountain passes Gardena, Campolongo, Sella and Pordoi can be easily climbed. The descents are mostly on technical singletrack and only partly follow the road. Starting from Alta Badia the tour can be run clockwise or counterclockwise. Bike Beats - Avëna Trail is medium-difficult trail extending for a little more than 2 km and it is the section in the park with the highest altitude difference, 283 m. The blue trail includes an endless series of very exciting and difficult bends where expert bikers can show their skills. The Bridge Line is a variant for the last section of the Avëna Trail. The path that descends along the last stretch of wood on the slope of Piz Sorega has a spectacular view of the town of San Cassiano. Of moderate difficulties are: Bike Beats - Jump Line, Frara MTB Single Track, while easy trails: are Bike Beats - Mans Trail, Bike Beats - Ödli Trail, Bike Beats - Odlina Line.
