From May to September the passion for mountain biking takes over in Val di Fassa thanks to the many asphalt lanes or dirt roads suitable for everyone. One can choose from the Cycle Path of the Dolomites, which goes from Moena down to Val di Fiemme. Moena is located just in the center of the fabulous cycle path that connects the Val di Fassa to the Val di Fiemme 48 km long with an altitude difference of 650 m, thanks to the possibility of returning with the Bike Express. Do not miss the excursions to Moena among the ancient “clase” and “clantogan” of the town or the yoga path on bare feet and the walks dedicated to the joy of children. You can also go across the valley up to Canazei, in Val Jumela, Val Duron, Val Contrin, Val Monzoni, Val San Nicolò or on the Dolomites passes, downhill slopes in Canazei, and last but not least, the Sellaronda Mountainbike, the summer version of the famous winter ski tour called “Giro dei quattro passi”. In Val di Fassa you can also live the trend of the moment among those who look for thrill on a bike: gravity tests your technique, balance and self-control; throw yourself down along the tracks of the “Fassa Bike Resort” at Belvedere in Canazei, the park dedicated to passionate bikers, with trails enriched by some “Northshore” stretches. BRENTA VALLEYS: MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO There are several charming valleys, on the Brenta Dolomites Group, true symbol of Italian mountaineering. The whole of the territory of the Brenta Group is part of the Brenta Adamello Nature Park. The Brenta Dolomites Group is divided into three sectors, each of them with naturalistic interest and wonderful landscapes. The northern and southern sectors are less frequented because decidedly harder, the central sector, on the contrary, is more famous and easier to reach from Molveno and Madonna di Campiglio where the most famous peaks of the Group are located. Val Gardena is a real heaven on earth for sport lovers’ thanks its almost endless hiking trails. Easily walkable, repeatedly, interrupted by wonderful chairlift paths or challenging from a sporting point of view. Whether it’s an adventurous family hike, an easier hike with the use of a chair lift or a sports excursion for active nature lovers, all the hiking trails are well checked and well reported, encouraging many other activities in the Dolomites, UNESCO heritage site.
