Maria Sapio represents the excellence of Italian knitwear. Born in Italy and raised in Germany, she has shown a strong interest in fashion since childhood, leading her to return to her homeland to attend the Polimoda Academy in Florence, where she expresses her creative flair in Knitwear Design.

After 15 years of experience in the yarn industry and captivated by the art of Italian knitwear, in 2018, the designer presents her first collection "Maria Sapio Knitcouture" at Milan's White during Fashion Week. In the same year, she is honoured by the honorary president of the Italian Chamber of Fashion, Mario Boselli, at the Taomoda Awards in the Contemporary Fashion Brand segment.

Since 2020, she has been selected by Altaroma to showcase her collections on the runway in Rome. From here, her brand's ascent tells a unique story, just like the woman who wears it—simultaneously fragile and strong, in constant search of herself beyond appearances.

Every tailored knitwear piece signed by Maria Sapio is a precious, unique high-fashion item, crafted with a technique that intricately weaves together tradition and innovation.

Each creation, much like a work of art, is the result of a long journey that begins with a vision, passes through design and material study, and concludes with its execution, exclusively done by hand.
