Boccadifuoco Silvana

Boccadifuoco was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 23, 1966. She studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Ragusa. The artist majestically presents an Albero in scena (A tree on the stage) which outstands on all the rest to become the star of the scene. Another work of art is Il campo di lavanda (The lavender field): it looks like it pervades our space and it seems we can perceive its scent. Apparently, the main theme is simple and immediate, but the idea conceals in the folds of obviousness a hidden world, rich in sensations. The canvas turns into the window to the soul, representing images that are note mere imitations of reality but transposition of vibrant emotions, therefore inviting the audience to observe with objective and personal attention and to be fascinated by it.
