Rifugio Averau

Rifugio Averau is located directly on the slopes in the Lagazuoi 5 Torri ski area, between Cortina D'Ampezzo and Ladin valleys.

It is the starting point and destination of many hiking and ski routes. 

It can be easily reached on foot, on skis or by taking the Giau chair lift or 5 Torri. 

After extensive renovations, the Averau refuge provide a new mansard offering delightful double bedrooms in the loft with views to the Civetta and the Marmolada, or to the Tofana di Rozes. For groups, the refuge offers dormitory style rooms with 6 or 10 beds.

Paola and Sandrone take turns at cooking, and are well known for their extremely refined cuisine for what they have received numerous international awards. 

If you are looking for a touch of romanticism, you can enjoy a dinner, going up on a motor sledge and with a nocturnal descent. 

The refuge is near the 1st World War Open Museum where to visit the restored galleries, trenches and emplacements.
