The Rifugio Salei is an inimitable mountain chalet in Canazei, with a breath-taking panorama located at the foot of the Sassolungo at 2225 m above sea level.

Areal jewel that offers several services such the large terrace whoseposition allows your mind to wander into the vast mountain landscape, or thepastures that fan out in front of you.

Over your head a clear sky, and a little farther, a high mountain lake full of trout. For younger guests there is a playground and an alpine zoo, where they can admire the small mountain animals. Inside, you will be amazed by the interior décor, curated in every detail, with wooden walls recovered from old Val Gardena’s farmhouses.

A "return to nature", regarding the quality of food prepared by Giuseppe that offers original gastronomic solutions. Much of his recipes make use of fresh ingredients, such vegetables and spices coming from the owners' garden and trout fished from the nearby pond, to offer always very genuine and tasty dishes. Here no shortage typical dishes of Ladin and South Tyrolean cuisine paired by excellent local, national and international wine labels as well vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.

The Salei refuge offers 11 rooms with wooden balconies recovered from old Alpine farmhouses, a wellness centre with Turkish bath, Finnish sauna,indoor pool, and an outdoor whirlpool to enjoy the sunset view. In the warm season, the refuge can be reached by car following the Passo Sella state road, following Val Gardena direction, turn left after 500 meters, or by foot using the Col Rondella (Campitello) cable way and thenthe downhill footpath, to reach the refuge in about 20 minutes.
