TAGLIEDE RESTAURANT – CABLE CAR DEPARTURE

 

Tagliede is a historic establishment in Livigno, located at the departure point of the "Livigno-Centro" cable car (No. 25), easily accessible for those in the pedestrian area in the town centre or those taking a break between skiing sessions. The venue offers restaurant, pizzeria, and bar services, along with the highly appreciated artisan pastry and ice cream laboratory "Biancaneve" adjacent to the same place. The venue comprises an indoor hall and a partially covered and heated outdoor terrace, partly set up as a sun deck directly on the ski slopes.

 

Tagliede is undoubtedly the right place to find tasty dishes typical of Italian and Valtellina cuisine, such as pizzoccheri, polenta, venison stew, porcini mushrooms, etc. Alternatively, for those who prefer, there is a pizzeria and fast-food sandwich service, all in a welcoming, warm, and festive atmosphere thanks to daily musical events from late morning to late afternoon, often featuring live music. In the late afternoon, during the winter season, the venue also offers "Apres-ski," disco music for fun after a day of skiing.

 

COSTACCIA REFUGE – CABLE CAR ARRIVAL

 

Costaccia Refuge is located at an altitude of 2362 meters, at the arrival point of the "Livigno – Centro" cable car. On the ground floor, there is a bar and self-service sandwich fast-food. Outside, there is a large sun deck with a spectacular view of the Livigno valley, where the famous pot-cooked polenta and succulent BBQ grilled meat are prepared.

 

On the first floor of the refuge, there is a renowned à la carte restaurant, where culinary tradition is expertly revisited, enhanced, and presented in a familiar and suggestive atmosphere. House specialties include traditional Valtellina dishes such as Livigno dumplings, pizzoccheri, polenta, mushroom tagliatelle, ribs, sausage, and fillet. After the meal, artisan desserts from the "Biancaneve" laboratory and the historic deer milk are must-tries.

 

PASTRY / ICE CREAM SHOP BIANCANEVE

 

The Biancaneve ice cream and pastry shop is adjacent to the same Tagliede Bar-Restaurant, and much of its production is dedicated to it and the Costaccia Refuge. The laboratory mainly produces local typical sweets such as Blueberry Tart, Apple Tart, Strudel, Saker, and Walnut Cake. These products are timeless classics, but sophisticated and sought-after semifreddo and spoon desserts are also part of the selection.

 

Around Christmas and Easter, the production is further enriched with exquisite panettone, doves, and chocolate eggs. Throughout the year, artisanal ice cream is produced, which has contributed to making the laboratory well-known. The vastness of the production is reflected in some fundamental common elements: the quality and genuineness of raw materials, the skilled experience and ability to use and combine them, artisanal processing, traditional recipes, and last but not least, the passion of the pastry chefs!
