Torrefazione Cannaregio

Torrefazione Cannaregio is an artisan coffee roasting shop situated, since 1930, in the Cannaregio district of Venice ("vaporetto" stop Guglie or San Marcuola).

Today it is the only coffee roasting shop with a bar in the historic centre of the Lagoon City.

For over 80 years every day with the same passion it roasts coffee, between jute bags and steaming cups of coffee.

Roasting everyday the artesian way of the last century using a roasting drum from the 1940s.

Between single origin and blended coffees, the historic blend "Cafè Remèr, and the latest "Miscela del Ghetto" created in honour of 500 years of the Jewish ghetto Cannaregio, the oldest in the world.

Torrefazione Cannaregio, stocks a wide selection of artisan products all made with a "Cafè Remèr" base (semolina tagliatelle, chocolate pralines, "gianduia " cream and a selection of biscuits) plus colonial products such as cocoa and spices.
